At your first visit with Dr. Pinzon, you will be welcomed first into our new patient exam area. We will collect your new patient forms, including a current medical and dental history, along with any other information that may be helpful. Next, we'll take a complementary series of photos of your facial smile and teeth and enter them into our dental imaging system. These diagnostic photos will help Dr. Pinzon analyze and discuss your orthodontic needs and possible treatment options with you after your clinical exam.
If treatment is needed, we will make a complete set of diagnostic records, which typically includes your photos and two x-rays: a panoramic view of your teeth, and another one of the facial structures. We'll also make a complete set of molds of your teeth. All this information is used to develop a unique and individualized treatment plan for each patient. These records also help us compare and track progress of tooth movement during orthodontic treatment. Your first visit can take between a half hour to an hour.
