Meet the Team

Behind every great orthodontic practice is a great orthodontic team. We strive to create confident, beautiful smiles by providing the highest quality of orthodontic care in a high-tech, comfortable, and fun environment to both children and adults.

Our very talented staff work together and continually update their skills with continued education courses in the latest techniques, materials, and procedures. We really enjoy who we are, what we do, where we work, and who we work with!

Dr. Pinzon's team is comprised of five highly-talented staff members, a knowledgeable and experienced office manager, a very friendly and enthusiastic front desk receptionist, and four extremely talented orthodontic assistants. Our team represents many years of experience in the orthodontic profession.

	Rhonda Helzerman—Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator. Rhonda is originally from Pinckney, Michigan, but has lived in numerous places including Thailand, North Carolina, Utah and Idaho. She returned to her home state, and became involved in the orthodontic profession in 1992. She is certified in Dental Radiology and has taken numerous courses in orthodontic techniques as well as administrative disciplines. Rhonda is a multi-talented member of our staff with both clinical and administrative skills. She is married to Roy Helzerman, and has two children, Trey and Kendahl, and two dogs, Zeus and Zoe. In her spare time she enjoys running, shopping and spending time with her family and numerous friends.
	Jessica Mallard—Reception and Scheduling Coordinator. Jessie is the first of many smiling faces and the last stop on your visit to our office. Born in Metro Detroit she settled in Ann Arbor after living in Idaho, Georgia and Texas. A natural people person, she has been involved in customer service since 1991 and became a very valuable member of our Orthodontic team in 2006. She works extremely hard to accommodate everybody’s scheduling needs every time. When she is not in the office she enjoys spending time with her husband Marty and her daughter Violet, and playing with her dog Gwen.
	Ella Pace—Clinical Assistant. A mother of four, Ella has been working in the orthodontic field since 1990. She is originally from Taylor, Michigan, and certified in Dental Radiology. Ella joined our practice in 1995 and her great clinical skills are invaluable to our daily patient care. Married to Michael Pace, she has four children, Haleigh, Mikey, Evan and Peyton. In her spare time (which she has very little of) she likes to read, shop, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
	Christy Hazelrigg—Clinical Assistant. Christy is originally from Westland, Michigan. She has been working as an orthodontic assistant since 1990, is certified in Dental Radiology and has contributed extensive chair-side experience to the practice since 1998. She is married to Dave Hazelrigg and became a mother in 2006 to Gavin Reece. When she is not at work she enjoys bowling, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with her goofy boxer Thor.
	Linda Winn—Clinical Assistant. Linda is a true Ann Arborite, born and raised in our city. She studied in Indianapolis and obtained her Certificate in Dental Assisting. She is also a Registered Dental Assistant, and has been working in the orthodontic field since1987, and with our practice since 2007. She has become a key member of our chair-side staff with her vast experience in different orthodontic techniques. Linda is married to John Winn and has two teenagers, Kelley and Mike, and a cat named Janie. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, beading, gardening and volleyball.
